This Ceylon black tea is grown high on the eastern slopes of the central mountains of Sri Lanka. The high elevation results in ideal conditions for producing high quality black tea with rich, complex flavors. Ceylon tea is savored by people all around the world but many of the workers in the industry still struggle to access basic healthcare and education, and live in impoverished conditions. There have been ongoing efforts in Sri Lanka to improve conditions for these tea workers. Our Mountain Ceylon tea was carefully chosen after taking into account the financial livelihood, environmental preservation, and community development of local farmers.
