Overview of Golden Darjeeling

This award-winning full-leaf Darjeeling black tea is grown near West Bengal in eastern India which has a climate that varies throughout the year, from tropical savannah to humid subtropical. This hot and wet climate is favorable for the production of tea. West Bengal has four seasons that are categorized into summer, winter, autumn, and the rainy season. Our Golden Darjeeling autumn-flush harvest rounds out the brisk, “muscatel” flavor (sometimes described as musky spiciness) typical of earlier-flush Darjeeling teas. The result is a fresh and sweet flavor that is ideal for blending with different herbs.
