What's in this blend?
House blends are completely customizable too, so you can always swap out ingredients you don't like.

Honey Rooibos
Rooibos tea is a caffeine-free alternative to tea, and may potentially help relieve insomnia, nervousness and mild depression based on anecdotal evidence.

Chamomile
Chamomile contains compounds such as flavonoids that may provide relief from insomnia and anxiety. It has been shown to help decrease the time it takes to fall asleep, working in a similar fashion as some prescription drugs.

Lavender
The calming aroma of lavender has a sedative effect that may be as effective as some commonly prescribed sleep medications. Teas infused with lavender are currently approved by the German Commission E (equivalent to the FDA in the US) for treating insomnia.

Passionflower
Passionflower is often recommended by doctors as a natural and mild sedative for those suffering from insomnia or nervous exhaustion. Drinking a cup of tea containing passionflower an hour before going to bed may help improve sleep quality.

St. John’s Wort
St. John’s wort is used as an alternative or complementary treatment for insomnia, as well as for depression and anxiety. The herb has a long history of use in traditional medicine for improving sleep quality.

Precautions
Consumption of rooibos, chamomile, lavender, passionflower, and St. John’s wort is generally well tolerated. For chamomile, those with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family (e.g. daisies, sunflowers) should exercise caution. For passionflower, some people may experience side effects such as drowsiness or dizziness. Do not take during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Herb may increase the effects of blood-thinning medications, sedatives, antidepressants, and anti-seizure drugs. For St. John’s wort, some people may experience side effects such as insomnia, stomach upset, diarrhea, and headache. Because St. John’s wort may affect certain medications, consult your physician before using the herb. Do not use in conjunction with benzodiazepines or other psychotropic medications.
We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before drinking tea or using any herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, on any medications, or have any allergies.
